We'll get this out of the way up front: yes, Blizzard has been openly hiring for some kind of Diablo project since the summer of 2017. However, a new job listing is proof-positive that this is a new, unannounced Diablo game. And almost certainly not a Switch port of the six-year-old Diablo III.

The exact role Blizzard is hiring for is a Dungeon Artist, and the included responsibilities point toward this being an entirely new Diablo game, and not the Switch port that was rumored in March.
For example, duties include building "atmospheric dungeons [plural] with a focus on composition, detail and mood" from the ground up, as well being able to "concept, model and texture your work." The artist Blizzard hires will also "serve as an active participant in team art discussions, critiques and reviews."
Additionally, the Dungeon Artist will work with the game's Lead Environment Artist and Art Director to ensure "all environments are meeting the high-quality bar Blizzard is known for." Environments, plural. Dungeons, plural. In addition to aligning with a team of additional artists and level designers.
Stacked on top of the jobs Blizzard has already hired for, including Associate Producer, Production Director and Creative Director, I think we're looking at Diablo 4. At the very least, a new game in the Diablo world that will certainly undergo an excruciatingly long development period (for fans, anyway).
